what jesus says about socialism

Was Jesus a Socialist?

Socialism is the concentration of power into the hands of government elites to achieve the following purposes:

1. Central Planning of the Economy

2. Radical Redistribution of Wealth

Socialism

Every Country that has followed Socialism has failed: Soviet Union, Communist China, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, Nicaragua

Socialism IS Government Control

Here is What to Expect:

  • Immediate confiscation of all firearms

  • Heavy regulation - No private property

  • Abolishment of electoral college

  • Government take-over of certain industries

  • Majority of states - No input in election of President

  • All businesses ordered to obey government dictates

  • No political parties - one socialist party rule

  • Govt encourages resentment & jealousy of achievers

  • Free markets abandoned

  • No upward mobility - No way to better yourself

  • No consumer protection laws - no choices in what to buy

  • Improving the human condition - not a goal of Socialism

  • Government keeps list of political enemies for retribution

  • Redistribution of private money to Govt supporters

  • Lack of freedom and opportunity

  • No checks and balances in branches of government

  • Capitalism outlawed - making a profit is illegal

  • Achievers not rewarded - Merit ignored

  • Govt outlaws by fiat any behaviors they don't like

  • Access gained through bribes, favoritism - not skill

Medicare for All?

1. Massive waiting lists for appointments

The massive waiting lists and intolerable delays under Single-Payer Programs are unheard of ---except at the Single Payer Veteran's Administration.

2. Life-threatening delays for treatment

Even for patients requiring urgent cancer treatment or brain surgery

>  median wait time in England after seeing a doctor to start treatment was 20 weeks, or about 4.5 months. In Canada - orthopedic surgeries: wait time 20-52 weeks

>median wait time for neurosurgery after already seeing a doctor was 47 weeks -- about 10 months!

> Pre-Obamacare data showed time-to-appointment for Americans averaged 20.5 days for the least serious problems and even fewer days for serious problems .

USA:  20 Day wait vs. 20 weeks or even 47 weeks in Single-Payer Plans.

3. Delayed availability of life-saving drugs

Before Obamacare, the United States was the country where new cancer drugs were most often launched.

> Obamacare siphoned money directly away from drug developers in order to subsidize hospitals. This increased the cost of cancer care and lowered its quality. Countries with Single-Payer systems are not at the forefront of new innovations for drugs or treatments.

> England's Single-Payer system has introduced a "Budget Impact Test" to cap drug prices, Before Obamacare, the United States was the country where new cancer drugs were most often launched.

> England's Single-Payer system has introduced a "Budget Impact Test" to cap drug prices,  a measure that is specifically designed to further restrict drug access  specifically designed to further restrict drug access. specifically designed to further restrict drug access. where new cancer drugs were most often launched.

4. Limited availability of screening tests

> The Canadian system fails to deliver regular routine screening tests for the most common cancers including PAP smears and colonoscopies.

> Americans are screened at a younger age for cancer than in Europe. Consequently, US patients have less advanced disease at diagnosis than in Europe for almost all cancers.

The U.K. ranks 20th out of 24 western countries for breast cancer survival. The U.S. ranks 1st.
No nation commits as much money for the treatment of kidney disease through dialysis as does the United States.

% of Babies born weighing less than one pound that live to reach their 1st birthday.

  • in Canada = 3%
  • in Britain = 4%
  • in USA = 75% !

5. Significantly worse outcomes from serious diseases

Delayed access to medications, diagnosis and treatment in Single-Payer Plans produce significantly worse outcomes, including cancer, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and diabetes compared to Americans.

> Canadian single-payer system offers at most limited coverage for mental care, dental care, eye care and prescription drugs.

> Americans enjoy superior access to the best health care including new treatments such as those using stem cells and the new right-to-try legislation that has opened up opportunities for patients to access life saving medications and treatments never before available.

Single-payer systems are inferior to the US system in terms of both Access and Quality.

Why would anyone want to trade in the world's best medical care for a hit and miss system such as those in South America, Canada, England and Europe?

Not one state in the USA has a Single-Payer plan.

6. Rationing

Based on data from countries that use Single-Payer, there will not be enough Doctors, hospital beds or money to provide free healthcare for all. Medicare-For-All will deliver sub-standard care, inevitably leading to Rationing-For-All.

> The UK, Canada and other European countries for decades have used wait lists specifically as a means of rationing care.

> Rationing will be based on the patient's "Quality-Adjusted-Life-Years."

> Rationing panels will decide based on your health history if you are too old, too ill, too out-of-shape with too many bad habits (i.e. smoking, obesity) to deserve expensive medical treatments. This is a fact of life in countries using Single-Payer.

> Rationing is all about the money and keeping expensive medical treatments away from patients as much as possible .

> Private Insurance is outlawed in Canada - there is no escaping the restrictions on treatment (unless you cross the border and seek treatment in the U.S).
